British diplomats fear North Korea G20 attack

Fears that North Korea would disrupt the G20 have been taken seriously by British diplomats travelling with David Cameron to the meeting of world leaders in Seoul.

The two-day meeting in South Korea comes at a time when its neighbour is in the midst of a leadership succession. That has led to concerns that the secretive Communist regime would launch an attention grabbing "event".

Among the possible attacks, according to diplomatic sources, are making an incursion into South Korean waters, testing a missile in nearby airspace, or even suggestions that North Korea could float balloons filled with biological weapons towards Seoul.

A diplomatic source said: "There has been some speculation that North Korea would try to disrupt the summit.
